Each year, the foundation distributes several million euros in grants and awards to researchers, artists, writers, and other social actors. The foundation is building a skilled and international Finland where a wide variety of voices are heard.
The Brita Maria Renlund Memorial Foundation is a charitable foundation established in 1918 by the will of businessman Karl Herman Renlund. The main objective of the foundation is to increase the well-being of children and young people by creating hope and faith in the future. The Foundation provides grants to organisations that support children and young people in various ways, for example through preventive activities or activities to prevent child poverty and exclusion. In 2024, grants of €12.9 million were awarded. The Foundation's assets amounted to €516 million in December 2024.
