There are projects and initiatives in Finland that should be expanded and made permanent

However, they often remain small, local and temporary

Effekt funds organizations that have growth potential and produce positive, measurable, and long-lasting results.

A condition of Effekt’s financing is that the capital provided may be repaid to Effekt if the targeted impact is achieved.

Funding is available, for example, to nonprofit organizations, research groups, and social and other entrepreneurs. The idea and its potential are the deciding factors.

Effekt brings together solution developers, users, and financiers, working closely with them in partnership.

The Solutions Fund Effekt can provide expertise and networks for initiatives, provide loan capital or invest in corporate activities through equity. The form of funding and support is always formulated on a case-by-case basis. The aim of the funding is to remove barriers to growth, increase social impact and thus promote positive change.

Criteria for evaluating funding:

1. Impact Potential

  • What will improve as a result of your solution, and for whom?
  • How can this change be measured?
  • What is new or unique about this solution compared to current practices?
  • What is the target of the impact that creates effectiveness, and what is its mechanism?
  • What kind of evidence supports the assumption that the solution will bring about positive change—e.g., research, previous pilot projects, the team’s professional experience?

2. Growth Potential

  • How is the solution supposed to be scaled in the future?
  • How will these activities and their growth be funded going forward, and how would potential funding from Effekt help achieve this?
  • What are the main obstacles to growth at this time?

Tell us about your impactful work

Does the initiative focus on children and young people, or on culture, education, or issues related to democracy, for example? Does the initiative contribute to the well-being of society? Does it have the potential to grow into a long-term model in Finland? How might such growth come about?
